Zao Share Video from Upcoming Live Release and Announce Listening Party

0

Everyone’s favorite long-running, ever-rotating, recovering-Christian, metalcore band Zao recently shared the latest video from their upcoming album Live From the Church, a live performance of their song “Croatoan” off of their 2021 album The Crimson Corridor. The new album was not recorded in an actual church (I told you, they’re not Christian anymore) but rather at the Church Recording Studio in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania back in 2021.

The video is basically the band giving a live performance in a studio, performing for no audience, obviously, as 2021 was still the height of the pandemic. The video of it is surprisingly compelling for a filming of a band in a studio with no audience, with Daniel Weyandt showing incredible presence as he belts out the track. You’ll want to check out the video below.

The band made a post on Facebook as well about their upcoming listening and watch parties for the release, reading:

“We are doing a ‘listening party’ on April 17th for Live From The Church on Bandcamp. It’s free, you just need to RSVP through bandcamp (you will need a bandcamp account to do this, also free). At the listening event you will hear the full album 2 days before it gets released and we will be in the chat answering questions if you have any. We are currently working on a limited free ‘watch event’ through youtube on the 18th of april. so if you haven’t subscribed to our youtube channel. Go to youtube.com/@officialzao and do so and you will get alerted for the watch party. Just a reminder, Live From The Church (the film) will NOT be on any digital services to watch for the immediate future. The only way to get the full film at this point is through one of the physical copies of DVD/Blu-Ray or VHS. The audio portion will be everywhere on the 19th.”

You can RSVP to the listening party here. Pre-order Live from the Church here.
