My Dying Bride Release New Single “The 2nd Of Three Bells”

I sure hope you’re ready to feel sad, because British death-doom outfit My Dying Bride are back with another new track to bring some dark clouds overhead. The song, titled “The 2nd Of Three Bells” is the second single off their forthcoming album A Mortal Binding and just like the rest of their tunes, it’s slow, dirge-like, and Gothic as all get out.

Directed by Daniel Gray, the video once again features vocalist Aaron Stainthorpe languishing in some dark, lonely locale as pretty ladies twist and writhe on the floor and suspended in the air. You know, typical fare for the band.

Speaking about the track, guitarist Andrew Craighan described the feeling they were going for when writing the thing.

“‘The 2nd of Three Bells’ see the band in a more musical performance role juxtaposed with artistic metaphor of the struggles between the deathknell itself and the lust for life’s brief joys.”

A Mortal Binding is the band’s 15th full-length studio album and their follow up to 2020’s The Ghost of Orion. It’s due out on April 19 via Nuclear Blast Records, but you can preorder your copy today.
