Disney+ Goes Rogue, Uses Decapitated in a Comedy Superhero Show
No one tell Tipper Gore about this one — Polish death metal band Decapitated announced via social media that a single from their most recent album Cancer Culture will make an appearance in the upcoming season comedy superhero show Extraordinary. The show is available on Hulu and Disney+ depending on the market.
Now, I don’t know this show at all, but it looks like it’s for kids and teens more than anything. Which isnt’ a complaint or a dig or anything — after all, death metal is for the kids, too. It’s just wild to think that in the year of our lord 2024, anything even remotely associated with Disney would feature a band called Decapitated. Especially since they ban so many bands like them from playing at their theme parks.
Speaking about the inclusion of their music in the show, Decapitated genuinely sound stoked about the opportunity in a recent social media post.
“Decapitated will have their music featured in the award-winning comedy series Extraordinary. You can catch the premiere on March 6th on Hulu in the US and on Disney+ in the rest of the world.
“This is the second time the band has been invited to share their music from the Cancer Culture album in a movie, the first being in The Hidden Web / Ukryta sieć released in 2023 (Prime Video). Enjoy the show and the great tunes!”
