Korn Announce Huge 30th Anniversary Show with Evanescence, Gojira, Spiritbox, and More
It was alluded to yesterday, but now we’ve got official confirmation that nu metal titans Korn are going to play a special one-night-only gig to celebrate 30 years since the release of their debut self-titled album. Slated for Saturday, October 5, the show will take over the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, with special guests Evanescence, Gojira, Daron Malakian and Scars On Broadway, Spiritbox, and Vended.
Since 1994, Korn has remained a mainstay of mainstream rock and metal, selling more than 40 million albums worldwide and winning two GRAMMYs in their time. And all that’s not to mention the countless fans they’ve gained by touring around the globe.
Korn vocalist Jonathan Davis said he was grateful for the career he and his bandmates have been able to carve out over the years.
“Reflecting on thirty years of Korn fills me with such immense gratitude for our journey, the growth we’ve experienced, and the incredible bond we share with our fans. It’s humbling to see how our music has touched so many lives across the globe. From our small club beginnings to now headlining stadiums, it’s been an unforgettable ride, and we owe it all to our amazing, undying, loyal community that’s made it possible. I’m really looking forward to this incredible night to celebrate together.”
In addition to regular tickets to attend the show, fans can grab a special ’30 Years of Korn VIP Experience’ where they’ll be able to check out a special museum curated by the band, featuring “never before seen memorabilia from the archives, art displays, props from music videos, instruments, one of a kind wardrobe and custom Adidas pieces.” There will be a whole lot of other shit involved in the package, so be sure to check it out if that’s your thing.
Tickets for this special event will go on sale to the general public this Friday, March 8 at 10 a.m. PST, while a special Citi presale will go live today at 10 a.m. PST/1 p.m. EST until tomorrow at the same time. To participate in the presale, you have to be a member of the Citi Entertainment program.
