Though there’s more to this thing than just the music, what we’ve heard showcases the fact that the 65 year-old showman shows no signs of slowing down at all.

Hopiumforthemasses (Nuclear Blast)
Revealed to be Ministry’s penultimate album before calling it quits, Hopiumforthemasses continues frontman Al Jourgensen’s acerbic take on modern society. This time, he calls out far-right fuck faces, incel dickheads, and pretty much everyone else in his crosshairs while the band delivers the industrial sound you’ve come to expect after all these years.
Tigers On Opium
Psychodrama (Heavy Psych Sounds)
This debut record for Portland, Oregon’s Tigers On Opium highlights the fuzzy, heavy sound that people have often compared to Queens of the Stone Age, Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats, and Electric Wizard. It’s a rockin’ and rollin’ slab of new tunes that should get you speeding down the highway if you’re listening to it behind the wheel.

Melodic death metal outfit Volcandra is back with their sophomore album The Way of Ancients. Featuring a high-fantasy concept, the album is all about swords and sorcery. If you like your death metal with a roll of a D20, this should be right up your alley.
Zakk Sabbath
Doomed Forever Forever Doomed (Magnetic Eye Records)
Leave it to long-time Ozzy guitarist Zakk Wylde to start a Black Sabbath cover band and make it a part of his career. This being the band’s sophomore full-length album, Doomed Forever Forever Doomed focuses on the iconic British heavy metal band’s second and third records: Paranoid (1970) and Master of Reality (1971). You know these songs already, you just haven’t heard Wylde’s take on ’em.
