Damnations Domain Play First Show Since Year of the Knife Accident
Damnations Domain are back on the stage, and that’s noteworthy because they feature members of Year of the Knife, who got in a horrific car accident last year.
The Delaware death metal band played in Philadelphia on February 10 with Dead Upon Arrival, 10 Sluggz, Problem Solver, Hamtoid, Splattered Spine, and Execute. From footage and socials, it looks like it was a hell of a show. The band includes Brandon Watkins on vocals, Madi Watkins on bass, Andrew Kisielewski on drums, and Aaron Kisielewski on guitiar.
This is the first time the band have played a show since Year of the Knife’s accident in Salt Lake City last year.
Brandon Watkins says:
“Played our first damnations domain show in a year and our first show since the accident”
Damnations Domain had previously shared imagery on socials of the getting back in the practice space, which had fans excited. It’s amazing to see them back out on the stage.
For those not familiar, Year of the Knife were touring in advance of their new album No Love Lost, when they got into a terrible car accident that had Madi Watkins in the hospital for months. Proceeds from the album go to supporting recovery efforts from the band, and you can also support them through GoFundMe. So far, they’ve raised over $255,600 to help cover medical bills and other costs. They’re very close to their $300,000 goal, so any support is appreciated.
We can’t wait to see what’s next for both Damnations Domain and Year of the Knife, and we’re so glad that the accident, while horrible, isn’t keeping them down, and both projects will continue.
