Drowning Pool Mourn the Death of Desensitized Cover Girl and Adult Film Actress Jesse Jane
If you were aware of hard rock and metal music in the early 2000s, there’s a good chance you were familiar with Drowning Pool. If you were a teenage male around that time and knew of Drowning Pool, then you definitely knew about their 2004 sophomore album Desensitized — if only for its album cover featuring porn starlet Jesse Jane.
Last week, the 43-year-old actress whose real name was Cynthia Ann Howell was found dead in her Moore, Oklahoma home along with her boyfriend Brett Hasenmueller. TMZ reported that police found both individuals dead after Hasenmueller’s employer asked for a welfare check. Though the cause of death hasn’t been revealed, it’s believed that their untimely demises were “drug-related.”
With the tragic news making its way through the internet, Drowning Pool took to social media to remember Jane, who also appeared in the band’s video for “Step Up.”
“We are deeply saddened by the passing of one of our friends Jesse Jane. Our hearts go out to Jesse’s family and all of her friends. She was truly a unique and amazing human being.”
Porn career aside, Jane was also featured in shows like Entourage, Gene Simmons Family Jewels, and the 2009 movie Middle Men. She also had a cameo appearance in the 2004 buddy cop flick Starsky & Hutch.
We’d like to also offer our condolences to both Hasenmueller and Jane’s friends, family, loved ones, and former colleagues affected by their passing.
