Skeletal Remains’ New Single “To Conquer the Devout” is a Fast, Groovy Fist to the Face
Don’t think too hard about that headline. Even I don’t know how a fist can be groovy. That still shouldn’t detract from the straight up ass beater that Skeletal Remains put out earlier today for their latest single “To Conquer the Devout.”
Released as the third single off their upcoming album Fragments of the Ageless, the death metal outfit from California used it as the backdrop for the announcement of a few album release shows throughout the west coast this March.
The shows will run from March 7 in Santa Rosa, California and come to an end on March 10 in Las Vegas. Morta Skuld and Oxygen Destroyer will be the openers for those shows.
Speaking of the new single, the band said it deals with religious dogma and the bullshit that bubbles up from it.
“It is a speed driven groove fest perfectly capturing the aggression of an archaic deity ridding the world of all who follow the incoherent word of their false religion through blasphemy inspired by the power of ignorance and blind faith which continues to poison the minds of millions throughout this fucked up planet.”
Fragments of the Ageless will be released on March 8 via Century Media records, though you can preorder your copy right now.
