Botch to End Farewell Tour in Seattle
We all knew this wasn’t forever, but it’s still a bummer to know that mathcore outfit Botch will once again slink back into the shadows this June after playing two final shows in Seattle. The band reunited back in 2022 and went on a run of shows, giving fans a chance to catch them live after 20 years away. That’s all coming to an end.
Dubbed the “Weekend of Dead Ends,” Botch will play a pair of shows on June 14 and 15 at Seattle’s The Showbox. For the first night, Mortiferum and Caustic Wound will open up the show, while the second night will feature Helms Alee and Great Falls.
With the band’s end coming up yet again, guitarist David Knudson said he and his bandmates were thankful for everyone that came out to show their support since 2022.
“It’s been an absolute pleasure to play all these songs for both our old fans, and new fans that have found us over the last 22 years. We’ve loved playing for you and seeing your beautiful faces in cities that we never thought we’d get to perform in again. Thank you for welcoming us back. We are so fortunate to be able play one last tour in Europe and Australia before we finish again in Seattle this June.”
Though there’s an end in sight, that doesn’t mean there are just two shows left on the band’s 2024 calendar. In fact, they’ve got plans to tour Europe, the U.K., and Australia well before they hang up their boots at those June shows.
