Alpha Wolf’s Next Album Titled Half Living Things, First Single “Sucks 2 Suck” Features Ice-T

Metalcore band Alpha Wolf’s made the rounds in recent months for all kinds of things lately, from personally calling out venue merch cuts during a show to having their fans fuck up a “Wall of Death,” but today’s headlines deal with new music. Their third album, titled Half Living Things, will be released on April 5 and to celebrate that fact, they’ve released its first single “Sucks 2 Suck.”

Oh and the Australian metalcore act got none other than Ice-T to guest on the track.

Described as “the ultimate fusion of hip hop and metalcore,” the new single fuckin’ moves. And while the riffs are definitely headbang worthy at times, this one’s definitely got a nu-metal feel to it. Which makes sense since they’ve got one of rap’s O.G.s on the track.

Lead guitarist Scottie Simpson said Ice-T’s involvement came about after the band basically shot their shot.

“We decided to shoot for the stars and reach out to Ice-T. We gave him no reference, but he did exactly what we were hoping for! It’s classic.”

The rapper’s involvement isn’t too big of a stretch, since he’s been rockin’ around as the frontman of Body Count since its inception back in 1990. Dude knows his way around a metal show.

As for the song’s theme, vocalist Lochie Keogh said it’s all about punching back. You know, that common theme.

“It’s about biting back at anyone saying you didn’t work hard for the shit you have. If you had the ethic and tenacity, you’d have it too, but you suck, so you don’t.”

Alpha Wolf’s Half Living Things will be released on Friday, April 5 via Greyscale Records and SharpTone Records, but you can pre-order or pre-save your copy today.
