Black Metal Babes Needed to Bare It All in Jeremy Saffer’s Next Daughters of Darkness Book
Are you a confident female with a deep love of black metal and a penchant for losing your clothes for the sake of fine art? Odds are you aren’t because I’m pretty sure our readership is a majority sausage fest, but in the off chance that you actually meet those criteria, then you may just be interested in the following.
Prolific photographer and Outburn Magazine Editor-in-Chief Jeremy Saffer took to social media yesterday opening up a casting call for the production of his upcoming book, Daughters of Darkness Vol. 2. Known around the music world for his work photographing major acts like Metallica, Slayer, Korn, Megadeth, and Ghost just to name a few, he’s once again heading behind the camera to capture another collection of women in corpse paint.
But these ain’t your average, run of the mill nude-y pictures. No, sir. You can tell that just by looking at the gallery of some safe for work images from the first book and a recent gallery show.
Just as he did with the more than 400 models from around the world that he shot for his 2020 book Daughters of Darkness, this new project will feature fine art portraits of women that actually embrace black metal as a lifestyle. Every model does their own corpse paint and that’s all they’ll be wearing.
The previous book featured a number of celebrities, actresses, musicians, and models that hoped to show “the duality of finding beauty in dark imagery, and finding darkness within beauty.”
Though there’s no release date for Daughters of Darkness Vol. 2 just yet, it will be released via Los Angeles-based publishing company Rare Bird Lit.
If you, or someone you know would like to participate in Saffer’s next book, contact him via his Twitter account or through his website.
