Twitching Tongues, END, and More Participate in Palestinian Liberation Benefit Compilation
Since last October, the Palestinian people in Gaza have been under siege by the Israeli military in reaction to horrific terrorist attacks perpetrated by Hamas fighters. Though no one should try to justify the murder of Israeli civilians on October 7, what’s followed since has been the disgusting and atrocious murder of tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians.
In response to what’s going on in the region, a number of bands that fall in the metalcore, hardcore, and similar genres banded together to put together a benefit compilation titled A Homeland Denied: A Compilation For The Palestinian Liberation. The 121-track collection is available for purchase on Bandcamp and has been organized by the Hardcore 4 Gaza group.
According to organizers, all proceeds from the compilation will go toward helping provide aid to the children currently living under constant fire from Israeli attacks and sheltering against American-made bombs.
“A HOMELAND DENIED: A Compilation for Palestinian Liberation” is out on bandcamp NOW. We are proud to announce this massive hardcore (and adjacent) benefit compilation to send urgent aid to Palestinian children in Gaza.
All profits will be donated to MECA for Peace to send humanitarian aid to Palestinian youth in Gaza.
More than 115 bands from all over the world (big, small and even brand new ones) came together for this project offering unique contributions (new exclusive songs, live recordings, remixes, some released tracks, etc.), to show a unified message of solidarity to the people of Gaza who are facing a genocide of unprecedented proportions. The hardcore scene must show that our values are not empty words but deep convictions: we walk the talk.”
In addition to their statement, the organization posted an extremely lengthy mission statement on the page calling for the end of Israeli occupation, the apartheid state that’s existed for 70+ years, and the complete liberation of Palestinian people. All honestly worthwhile endeavors if you ask me.
The entire compilation is available for $10.86 and comes with unlimited streaming rights via the Bandcamp app, as well as high quality MP3s and FLAC files. So if you’ve got the money, love -core music, and want to give back to a worthwhile cause, definitely check this compilation out.
