Leather Lung’s Latest Single “Empty Bottle Boogie” is Your New Thirsty Thursday Theme
Listen up, motherfuckers. It may still be morning right now, but that doesn’t change the fact that Thirsty Thursday’s here again. Time to put those bottles of booze on fuckin’ notice because the boys in Leather Lung dropped their newest single, “Empty Bottle Boogie.”
Released as the second single off their first full-length album Graveside Grin, this latest track feels uniquely Leather Lung. It’s just sludgy enough to bang your head to, yet still has enough sway and groove to get your ass moving along, too. And something’s gotta be said about the extra thick bass tone on this one. I mean, God damn.
Speaking of the track, the Massachusetts quintet’s vocalist Mike Vickers said “Empty Bottle Boogie” is all about throwing down and having a good time with some good drink and some good friends — hangovers be damned.
“Do you know that feeling, when the DJ plays your song, so you chug your drink and hit the dance floor? That’s what we were trying to capture with ‘Empty Bottle Boogie’. This song is an invitation to let it all hang out. It delivers boot-stomping, hip-shaking, fist-swinging energy from start to finish. We write music in the context of movement and this track was meant to shake the floorboards.”
