Spiritbox Are Working with Former Bring Me The Horizon Keyboardist Jordan Fish

Talk about right place at the right time for both parties, as it looks like Canada’s own Spiritbox are capitalizing on Jordan Fish’s departure from Bring Me The Horizon for an exciting collaboration effort. Maybe this opens up some more details about the band’s forthcoming sophomore record… who knows?

This little bit of two worlds colliding surfaced online when Spiritbox guitarist Mike Stringer posted a silent video on his Instagram story yesterday depicting what looks like the band in the studio. In the post, Stringer tagged both Fish and his bandmate Courtney LaPlante.

There’s not much to go off of regarding this potential collab, but fans speculate that this will have some sort of impact on the band’s follow up to 2021’s Eternal Blue.

Of course, all of that is speculation, as Spiritbox have remained pretty hush-hush about their plans for the next album. All we know at this point is what LaPlante told Revolver last month.

“We gotta do it. We’ve been … not holding off, but it’s been really nice to have the instant gratification of putting out music when we’re actually done with it versus creating it and then sitting on it and doing a traditional cycle.

“But honestly, we want to prove it to ourselves that we can do another album and it’s gonna go well. I thought that having some sort of success in the first one would make me feel like I’ve proved it to myself.

“But in fact it’s just made us even more driven and on-edge. Like, we don’t feel comfortable at all. We’re like, ‘We gotta prove ourselves again.’

“And it’s weird because it’s not to [critics] or our fans, but surprisingly, it’s still an internal thing. Doing it once isn’t enough; we’ve gotta do it two times.”

So we’ll have to wait and see what, if anything, comes out of this. Either way, it’s an exciting development, for sure.
