David Ellefson Fires Off More Dates for His European ‘Bass Warrior Tour’
Ex-Megadeth bassist David Ellefson remains a busy, busy man and starting next month, he’s taking his solo effort to another continent entirely, as he gears up for his previously announced European ‘Bass Warrior Tour’. Set to his major European cities throughout late February and now nearly the entirety of March, the tour’s been bolstered a bit with the addition of six new dates.
According to an announcement made earlier today, the retrospective tour that will feature “cherished classics, deep cuts, and insightful storytelling” now has stops in: Trofarello, Italy on February 22; Cagliari, Italy on March 3; Tallinn, Estonia on March 20; Riga, Latvia on March 21; Vilnius, Lithuania on March 22; and Reichenbach, Germany on March 23.
As previously announced, Ellefson will have Italian guitarist and musical director Andy Martongelli by his side for the tour. Described as a “longtime friend and collaborator” of Ellefson’s, Martongelli was also involved in the bassist’s side projects, including Basstory, Ellefson-Soto, and Altitudes & Attitude.
Coming along with those guys will be drummer Roberto Pirami (Michael Angelo Batio, Rowan Robertson, Gus G), vocalist Titta Tani (Ehfar, ex-drummer of Claudio Simonetti’s Goblin), and rhythm guitarist Walter Cianciusi (Geoff Tate band).
