Static-X Unveil Third Leg of Machine Killer Tour with Sevendust, Release “Otsego Placebo” Video
Don’t worry if you’re unable to catch Static-X and Sevendust on their previously announced batch of dates for the Machine Killer Tour. A third leg has been added to the tour, meaning there are 15 more chances to catch the show in your area in April and May.
Announced just moments ago, the tour dates start off on April 28 in Salt Lake City, Utah and come to a half on May 18 in Minneapolis. This run is more in line with the west coast, so you can expect stops in San Francisco, Omaha, and even three Canada stops in Vancouver, Edmonton, and Calgary.
Coming along with Static-X and Sevendust will be Dope and Lines of Loyalty. Boy, Dope sure has been touring with Static-X lately. I wonder why that’s the case…
In addition to the new tour dates, Static-X released a music video for the song “Ostego Placebo,” from their previous album Project Regeneration: Vol. 1. This is the first piece of original music the band’s put together since the death of frontman Wayne Static. Bassist Tony Campos described the track as something that could have existed if Static were still around.
“This is a brand-new Static-X song, but we approached it with the same spirit as the other songs on Project Regeneration. I really feel like we captured that old school Static-X/Evil Disco sound, even though Wayne wasn’t involved in the writing on this one. Xer0 really delivered with the vocals on this track and this is one of my favorites from the batch of these new songs.”
Project Regeneration: Vol. 2 will now be out on January 26, but you can preorder your copies today.
