Judas Priest’s “Panic Attack” Music Video Reminds Us All That Their Live Show Still Rules
We’re roughly two months out from the release of Judas Priest‘s 19th studio album Invincible Shield and it remains my most anticipated album of 2024. The hype is fucking real.
Earlier this morning, the metal gods deigned the world worthy enough to drop a new music video to gaze upon with our eyes for the album’s first official single, “Panic Attack.” And while it’s pretty much your run of the mill compilation of live footage set to the song, it’s still a fun time. I mean, have you ever been to a Judas Priest show?! Those things are fun as Hell.
I mean, the video’s got all the hits. Screaming fans, Richie Faulkner obviously hitting a sick solo, Rob Halford riding a motorcycle in leather clothes that just have to be way too fucking hot to wear on stage. It’s really the perfect “here’s a buncha live shots” music video for a band like Judas Priest.
Coming in at 11 tracks, with an additional three tracks slated for the deluxe edition of the album, Invincible Shield seems like it’s going to kick all kinds of ass when it drops. Each single sounds like a continuation of what they pulled off on 2018’s Firepower, which is a good thing if you’re unaware.
Invincible Shield will be available on March 8, but you can pre-order your copy today.
Along with the impending release of that album, the band also have plans for a quick U.K. tour this March. Saxon and Uriah Heep will be the supporting acts on that run. So if you’ll be in the area around that time and want to live out the “Panic Attack” music video, be sure to check out the dates below.
