Birds In Row Announce European Tour
French weirdo hardcore band Birds In Row just added to the pile of juicy European tour announcements with their own plans for a spring run this year.
The band announced a 12-date tour run that will kick off April 20 in Tilburg, NL, including an appearance at Roadburn Festival, and will then continue until May 4 in Nancy, FR. Support on certain dates will be provided by Quentin Sauvè.
Last year, the band made headlines when they removed themselves from Hellfest festival in Clisson, France, following allegations of sexual and moral misconduct from a former intern against the organizers. The intern claimed to be subjected to constant humiliation and sexual objectification during her time at the festival in 2017.
The band showed solidarity with the anonymous woman by refusing to play the fest. About the allegations, the woman’s attorney, France Bleu, stated at the time:
“Her wish by taking legal action is to make Hellfest Productions aware that there are actions that are not acceptable, which are illegal in the context of labor relations. She wants a conviction so that these practices stop there, so that the mentalities within Hellfest Productions evolve.”
Birds In Row are a band who stick by their convictions, and hopefully, they won’t have to bow out of any appearances this year for similar reasons.
