Warbringer Headed to the Studio Next Spring, Announce Cassette Reissue of First Four Albums
California thrash metal outfit Warbringer are looking to have a solid 2024, as they’re not only reissuing their first four albums on cassette next February, but they’re also planning to record their seventh album this coming spring.
Getting released through M-Theory Audio on February 9, the band’s War Without End, Waking Into Nightmares, Worlds Torn Asunder, and IV: Empires Collapse will each get limited edition pressings. And when they say limited, they mean it, as just 100 copies will be made of each.
While these new pressings will be so limited, this isn’t the first time they’ll have been released on cassette, as Warbringer previously released all six of their albums, along with their 2005 demo Born of the Ruins and the 2006 EP One By one, The Wicked Fall, on cassettes this past February.
Warbringer drummer Carlos Cruz gushed about the upcoming release, as well as teased the band’s upcoming work on their follow up to 2020’s Weapons of Tomorrow.
“Road Warriors! We’re excited to extend our collaboration with M-Theory Audio to bring you the individual release of our first 4 albums during our time with Century Media Records on cassette! Thank you all who supported the ‘Total War’ box-set that also included our two demos and two newest Napalm Records albums; those are collector’s items that will be out-of-print once the last few boxes are sold. Prepare yourselves as we’ll finally be entering the studio for album 7 Spring 2024!”
It’ll be some time before we know more about Warbringer’s new album. As for the cassette release, that’s coming out on February 9 through M-Theory Audio, but you can preorder yours today.
