Thousands of NSBM Fans Outed After Pro-Nazi Merch Site’s Customer Records Hacked
Christmas came early for anyone that hates the Nazi-lovers that continue to be a dingleberry clinging to metal’s ass hairs, as the detailed personal data of nearly 18,000 NSBM fans is now publicly available to search online. The personal information was gathered through a hack of the online pro-Nazi storefront Midgård.
Originally reported earlier this month by VICE, the leak came about after a group of Stockholm-based anti-fascists known as AFA Sweden hacked the online peddler of NSBM trash. Through their effort, the group gathered and publicly posted the names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses of anyone that bought anything from the notorious webstore from 2017 to 2022. The group was extra harsh on their fellow countrymen, opting to also reveal the Social Security numbers of anyone that bought something from Midgård, which is really just an extra cherry on top.
In the group’s statement accompanying the insanely massive treasure trove of garbage people, AFA Sweden say they’ve conducted similar hacks in the past against Midgård and other NSBM webstores like Kampboden, Greenpilled, and White United Shop.
“This together with our regular work and the other leaks show that you can never expect to be anonymous in the Swedish fascist movement. Even if you don’t have any indication that we are aware of you, we most likely are. Even if you have never been caught on camera. It is better to contact us if you want to move on with your life than hope that we forget, because we never forget.”
In all, there are roughly 2,500 unique Swedish customers, through that also means that a vast majority of customers in the registry hail from other parts of the world. A cursory look through the registry shows buyers in Germany, Australia, and Canada. There are roughly 1,500 customers listed from the United States, so who knows? Maybe someone near you directly supported European Nazis by buying their merch?
In their statement, AFA Sweden said they targeted Midgård specifically because of their “significant role” in supporting Nazi efforts in their home country.
“Since the 1990s, Midgård has played a significant role in the Nazi movement in Sweden, serving as an infrastructure for the movement. Over the years Midgård has actively participated in and financially supported several Nazi organizations as well as being present at internal events.”
AFA Sweden also state that Midgård is operated by individuals who are directly linked to the Nordic Resistance Movement, a violent neo-Nazi group that’s been at the center of violence in the region.
While speaking with VICE, one member of the anti-facist group said the goal was to force the site’s customers to either drop their outward support of Nazis or face constant scrutiny.
“We are continuously working with people on the list. Our main goal is always to attack organized fascist movement with different tools available. When it comes to the people on the list the goal is always to give no alternative but to leave the movement or make it impossible to stay active.”
Let the record show that the people that actively seek neo-Nazi memorabilia and support NSBM acts actively bring down black metal and metal as a whole. They don’t speak for us, nor should they reflect what the world sees as metalheads. Metal is for everyone, regardless of your ethnicity, color of your skin, religious views, sexual orientation… whatever.
