Brand Of Sacrifice Sign to Nuclear Blast, Drop New Video
Canadian deathcore outfit Brand of Sacrifice are a solid example of their genre, no matter how jaded you might feel about it. And while you may want to debate the state of deathcore in general, the band has moved on and announced that they’ve signed with Nuclear Blast.
To mark the occasion, the band dropped a new single and accompanying music video for the song “Purge.” Vocalist Kyle Anderson said the song deals with some heavy topics, yet retains a hopeful outlook on things.
“‘Purge’ powerfully delves into the complexities of addiction, weaving a narrative of struggle, but also resilience. It is an ode to personal transformation, showcasing the journey towards becoming one’s best self amidst life’s challenges.”
With one of the premiere heavy metal record labels now backing them, Brand Of Sacrifice said their new partnership means there will be even more new music in the future. And once that happens, Anderson said they are excited to have Nuclear Blast’s resources at their disposal.
“We’re very excited to be kicking off the new era of Nuclear Blast Records with ‘Purge’! Having worked with Blood Blast for most of our previous releases and campaigns, we’re looking forward to building upon that success within the same powerhouse umbrella.”
Earlier this year, Brand of Sacrifice shared their Between Death & Dreams EP, and in 2021, they dropped their first record, Lifeblood. Originally hailing from Toronto, the band are known for their heavy riffs and cinematic-sounding music. Previous to the Nuclear Blast signing Brand of Sacrifice were affiliated with Blood Blast Distribution, the sister company for Nuclear Blast.
Going into the new year, Brand of Sacrifice are setting themselves up to do big things.
