Nikki Sixx Reveals Mötley Crüe Will Release New Music Next Year
We’ve known that Mötley Crüe have been working on new music since this past April, but we’ve got actual confirmation from bassist Nikki Sixx that the world will soon get a brand new album in 2024. Once released, it will be the first full-length studio release since 2008’s Saints of Los Angeles.
Sixx made his announcement via Twitter, where he also confirmed that his “music related animation project” with Rob Minkoff was still currently in development. Naturally, we wouldn’t have known about this without using a burner account, since Sixx and the Crüe have us blocked on the social media platform. No idea why though……
Given how the last one went, one can only hope that the addition of guitarist John 5 after the band hired him to replace Mick Mars will yield a better album. They’ve shown in recent history that they can’t be trusted to put on a good live performance, so many with some studio magic from Bob Rock, the next record will at least sound good.
Roughly five months ago the band took the stage in a small pub called The Underworld in Camden, UK. It was around that time that the band also posted a snippet of a new song, though we don’t exactly know what the name of it is — safe to assume it could be “Dogs of War” though.
With those two bits of information now out in the wild, as well as the previous knowledge that they’ve been working on new music for a while, Sixx said Mötley Crüe was bringing “good times ahead.” Only time will tell about that, Nikki.
