Sleep Token to Play Iconic Radio City Music Hall Next May
Say what you will about Sleep Token, but they don’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. Having released Take Me Back To Eden back in May, the band’s received a huge amount of attention both in our circles, as well as in the mainstream. Things have gone so well for alternative post-metal/hard-to-define act, that they’ll be playing one of the most iconic venues in New York City — Radio City Music Hall.
On May 22, the band will “gather in Worship” for the special performance, effectively marking the one-year anniversary since the release of their latest album. This announcement comes not only after the band enjoyed an entirely sold out North American tour this past fall, but also as they’ve recently sold out their upcoming show at OVO Wembley Arena on December 16.
Still, the Radio City Music Hall performance next May will be a momentous occasion for the band and its fans. The venue’s been around since 1928 and has hosted some of the biggest stars in the world.
Apparently, shit has gone so well for Sleep Token that they’ve never failed to sell out a headlining show in the U.K. They also keep getting attention through social media thanks to TikTok and celebrities like Demi Lovato sharing their music, so their weird infusion of metal, R&B, and pop has found a huge following among a more younger audience.
Tickets for the Radio City Music Hall show will be available to the general public this Friday at 10 a.m. ET, though people who register through www.teethofgod.com can get a unique access code for a pre-sale set to start on Thursday, December 7 at 10 a.m. ET.
