Defeated Sanity Sign to Season Of Mist
Defeated Sanity just said goodbye to longtime label Willowtip Records and signed with Season Of Mist for their next record.
Lauded technical death metal band Defeated Sanity helped define the technical death metal sound, starting with their 1996 demo Devoured By The Black. They will be dropping their seventh album in 2024 via Season Of Mist, and we’re excited to hear what the next offering is going to sound like.
This is a major step for the band, as they have long since been associated with more technical label Willowtip. Now, this will be their first album on the new label, and they’ll also be joined by new guitarist Vaughn Stoffey on the record, likely making for a slightly different sound.
More information on the forthcoming record will be coming soon, but on the topic of the signing, the band say:

Looking back, it has been quite a journey for us, from Chapters to Sanguinary. The band has musically grown immensely over the years, and so has our fanbase.

It seems that the band have no plans to abandon their technical roots, even though they’re moving forward with a new chapter, no pun intended, and a new label. Stay tuned for more updates soon.
