Obsidian Refractions (Profound Lore)
This unrelenting slab of death metal from international act Cruciamentum is no fucking joke. It may have been his third solo release, but Infinity by Devin Townsend is considered by many to be a milestone release. This newly remastered version is pretty much the definitive version, with the Christeen EP serving as its additional seven tracks.
Infected Chaos
Conjuration Overture, Vanity is Dawning (Wormholedeath)
Austrian death metal out fit Infected Chaos are here with an EP spawned from the dredges of the Coronavirus pandemic that kept so many artists shuttered at home. The band says this release is an amalgam of their influences, with the song “Vanity is Dawning” serving as a prologue to their upcoming full-length concept album.

Riluo (Talheim Records)
Hailing from Taiwan, Laang 冷 return with their third full-length studio release, Riluo 日落. Meshing traditional Cantonese sounds with black metal, this band’s sound is a unique take on those genres.
Serpents Oath

Forget their waffles, the Belgian nation has something special for us today with the release of Serpents Oath’s third album, Revelation. With its songs divvied up into three chapters, the album’s music flows through a “spiritual and personal evolution, exploring themes of breaking boundaries, de-identification, and rebirth.”
