P.O.D. to Drop New Single “Nobody Gets Out Alive” Featuring Jinjer’s Tatiana Shmayluk Next Thursday

In a bit of news that begs the question “what year is it?!” P.O.D. have a second single coming out for their upcoming album Veritas coming some time next year. The previous single, “Drop,” featured Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe as a guest vocalist and apparently the next release will feature another major name.

Next Thursday, November 30, P.O.D. will unveil their latest single, “Nobody Gets Out Alive.” And as the headline above suggests, Jinjer’s Tatiana Shmayluk will also be featured as a guest vocalist. If you think about it, that makes perfect sense, since both bands have toured together.

Leading up to the release of the album’s first single, P.O.D. frontman Sonny Sandoval said the new album was “just rocking all the way through.” And while that may be true, fans of the long-time Christian nu-metal band will be bummed to hear that the band’s drummer Noah “Wuv” Bernardo Jr. was replaced by session drummer Robin Diaz on the new record.

“I would say this album is definitely more rocking. It was a different writing process because of COVID and all that stuff. It wasn’t like we could all sit in a room like we’re used to. So a lot of it was just piecing things together. And so it was basically song by song. And then by the time we have an album’s worth, it’s kind of, like, that’s just what it’s supposed to be. And a lot of people are saying, ‘Did you guys get to do your reggae kind of swing, any more punk-type stuff?’ And, actually, I think it’s just rocking all the way through.”

As of right now, we just know that the album will feature guest spots from other vocalists, including Cove Reber, of Scaring Kids and Saosin. There’s no solid release date for Veritas, but once we know more, you’ll know too.
