First Round of Bands Announced for ArcTanGent Festival Includes Red Fang, KEN Mode, Plini
Next year, the ArcTanGent Festival out in Bristol, U.K. will be celebrating its tenth anniversary as a prime annual heavy metal event. With the dates for next year’s shindig taking place on August 14 – 17 next year, organizers dropped the first batch of bands that have signed on to play and boy, the list is good.
Kicking things off, the organizers announced that Belfast-based quartet And So I Watch You From Afar was selected by fans to play a very special headlining set on the first night. Seeing as they were there for the first ArcTanGent, it makes sense why fans of the festival would pick them after years of requesting that they’d come back.
Another special band that will be playing a “farewell show” at the festival will be none other than experimental instrumental act Three Trapped Tigers. Just like And So I Watch You From Afar, this act also played the first ArcTanGent, so this will be a bittersweet set, for sure.
ArcTanGent booker James Scarlett said next year’s festivities will be something you won’t want to miss.
“As it’s the 10 year anniversary of ArcTanGent Festival we’re hell bent on making this year even more special than usual. Although we can’t quite hit you with our headliners just yet, we’ve been sitting on too much of an incredible Wednesday line up, and too many special sets from so many of my favourite bands, to not to drop something. We’re honoured to also have two once-in-a-lifetime sets from And So I Watch You From Afar and Three Trapped Tigers at ArcTanGent 2024. It’s going to be biblical.”
