Against The Grave Deliver a Groove-Laden Door Kicker with “Anthem Embattled”
If you’re looking for the soundtrack to your next demolition job or need something to help you power through a workout, then I submit to you Against The Grave’s latest hammering single, “Anthem Embattled.”
Hailing from Los Angeles, the groove metal outfit dropped the single and its accompanying music video directed by Nathan Karma Cox moments ago. From the moment you hit play, the song goes from zero to fuck you in no time, opting instead to hit you with a frontal barrage of riffs and rhythm than take its time pussy-footing around.
Speaking about the band’s new single, frontman Jordan Gaw said he and his bandmates were excited to finally put out a studio version of “Anthem Embattled” after playing it live for a while now.
“After tearing up stages around Hollywood with this track, we’re finally ready to unleash ‘Anthem Embattled.’ Psyched to not only be releasing a sonically kick ass recording but also an insanely wild video. It’s just simply furious, a groove metal track with a truck load of energy and immersive visuals of the desert just north of us! Blessed to have had Nate bring that energy to our eyes and Nicky & Ulrich to have cranked it for our ears. Check it Out!”
The track itself got some serious assistance by some prominent names in the industry, as it was produced by Charlie Bellmore (Many Eyes, Dee Snider, Jasta), mixed by Nick Bellmore (Dee Snider, Many Eyes) and mastered by Ulrich Wild (Pantera, Static X, Deftones).
Rather than belabor the point and waste your time with more nonsense from yours truly, why don’t ya go ahead and strap yourself in before hitting play on the video below.
