Wacken Metal Battle USA Open to Band Submissions

Wacken Metal Battle USA is back for 2024, and one lucky indie band from the U.S. who wins the challenge will get to perform at Wacken.

Over previous years, five bands have been sent to the stage, including Fadrait (San Diego), Mythraeum (San Diego), Moarch (San Diego, Voices of Ruin (Anaheim), and Corpse Hoarder (Philadelphia).

Applications for 2024 run through November 30 at 11:59 p.m. PST. Only unsigned bands are eligible for the contest.

2024 battles will be taking place in the following cities:

New York, NY
Clifton, NJ
Philadelphia, PA
Portland, OR
Seattle, WA
Bay Area, CA
Los Angeles, CA
Orange County, CA
Sacramento, CA
San Diego, CA
Austin, TX
Dallas, TX
El Paso, TX
Houston, TX
San Antonio, TX

Cities that participate in the program will hold local qualifying rounds a d a city final, and then one band from each sub-contest will move forward to the American national final. The band that wins that will compete against winners from other countries at the 2024 Wacken Open Air battle.
