Spiritbox Get Heavy with “Cellar Door”

0

I’m sure the metal purists in our comment section are going to drag that headline, but hear me out. The latest single from Canadian alt-metal quartet Spiritbox titled “Cellar Door” goes hard. Like, right from the fucking get-go, which is great since it’s the opening track on their forthcoming EP, The Fear Of Fear.

As the third single from the six-track EP, “Cellar Door” feels like a song that seeks to remind people that they can throw down just as much as any other modern act out there. And with as extensive of a tour schedule as they’ve had over the last year, their growing fan base gives further credence to the idea that their yearly new releases are paying off.

Just as they did with last year’s EP Rotoscope, the band is using this new release to build upon their 2021 debut studio effort Eternal Blue. Along with the two previous singles “The Void” and “Jaded,” this new EP seems like it’s going to be a multi-faceted effort that will highlight the band’s melodic side while also bringing the hammer down when necessary.

The Fear of Fear will be released on November 3 via Rise Records/Pale Chord, but you can preorder your copy today. If you’d like to check out the EP’s cover art and tracklisting, as well as Spiritbox’s full list of upcoming tour dates with Shinedown and Papa Roach, be sure to keep scrolling past the video.
