System of a Down, Slipknot, and Nearly 70 Other Bands Announced for Sick New World 2024
Last year’s nostalgia trip turned major music festival Sick New World is coming back to the sweltering desert sands of the Las Vegas area next year, only this time it’s looking like an even bigger event with an absolutely insane lineup of acts.
Taking place on April 27, Sick New World 2024 is coming back to the Las Vegas Festival Grounds and it’s boasting an even bigger list of bands — 72 acts in total, in fact, across five stages. And we’re not talking just a handful of huge bands with a laundry list of no name outfits, either. The whole thing will be headlined by System of a Down, with major acts like Slipknot, A Perfect Circle, Alice in Chains, Bring Me the Horizon, and Ice Nine Kills also joining the bill.
Seriously, when you’ve got those big acts in conjunction with rising acts like Lorna Shore, Spiritbox, and Sleep Token, you’ve got an absolutely bananas show. Lamb of God and Babymetal, two bands that were featured on some major tours this past summer, don’t even make it half way up the list of bands on the event poster, which says something.
Before we go any further, here’s the full list of artists scheduled to perform:

If you’re looking to attend the festivities, you’re gonna want to signup for the festival SMS list over at the main website to gain access to a presale code that goes live this Friday, October 13 at 10 a.m. PT. Any remaining tickets, including GA, GA+, VIP, and VIP Cabana offerings, will be available to the public four hours later at 2 p.m. PT, with layaway plans starting at $19.99 down.
Looking at the offerings, it’s sounding like VIP is a sweet deal, as you’ll get “preferred viewing areas, charging stations, a dedicated entry lane at the festival entrance, air-conditioned restrooms, and more.” VIP Cabanas will come with “exclusive viewing areas, featuring VIP service including food vouchers and select complimentary beverages, expedited entry and more.”
And while last year’s event didn’t go the smoothest and this list is missing acts like Korn on the lineup, a lot of people left it feeling excited that they got to see some of those acts in person. So if you’ve got the time, the money, and the means to attend, you might want to consider it because this lineup is fucking wild.
