David Draiman’s Dog is Safe at Home [UPDATE]

I know you were probably up all night wondering where the Disturbed dog was, given how much you guys liked and commented about the piece on social media, but I’ve got some good news that’s likely to make your day if you haven’t already heard it. Disturbed frontman David Draiman announced on social media that his golden retriever puppy Charlotte is back.
The news came yesterday afternoon, with the vocalist sharing photos of himself with the puppy under the caption “Found her!!! THANK GOD!!!” We don’t know if she was taken and then returned or if she simply wandered back home, but it’s always good news to see a happy ending to this sort of thing. Having recently lost a pet myself, I know the sort of despair that comes with worrying about a beloved pet.
Earlier today, Draiman explained exactly how things went down, saying the dog got out of the yard and was later picked up by a nearby family, who only asked to be reimbursed the money they spent on food, supplies, and toys for the dog.
“Someone found her roaming around on my block (I figured out how she got out and have since remedied the problem…fool me once). She crossed the street and they got out of their car and grabbed her. They left signs all over the place about a lost dog. One of the people on social media told me about the signs. They emailed me a picture of one. I called the number. Asked if the dog was a 10 week old golden retriever pup, they said yes. They asked me what color her collar was. I said she didn’t have one. They said, ‘good, that was a trick question, you caught it.’ They gave me their address, they lived maybe 10 minutes from me, and I showed up to their house and they opened the door and there was my baby. I asked if I could give them anything, they said all they wanted was maybe the couple hundred they spent on food and toys for her for the two days she had been with them, which I gladly reimbursed. I was overwhelmed.”
All of this started over the weekend when Draiman posted a desperate plea to help find Charlotte after she went missing. that the dog was missing from his home in the Miami area. She’d been gone since September 29.
It is with an incredibly heavy heart that I have to announce that our dear puppy, Charlotte has been missing since the morning before last. We think she was taken by someone/something when she was playing out in the yard.

As a result of this happy ending, fans of Draiman’s showed their excitement for the dog’s safe arrival, with many urging the singer to get the dog microchipped and to share what actually happened. Given the high profile nature of the dog’s owner, coupled with how fucked up the world is these days, it’s not outside the realm of possibility that someone could have snatched up the dog in an attempt to meet Draiman or demand a ransom.
Still, we’re happy the dog is safe and sound. And all without anyone having to get perforated John Wick style.
