Carnation Channel Old School Death Metal with “Cycle of Suffering” Music Video
With a month remaining before the release of their third full-length studio effort Cursed Mortality, Belgian death metal band Carnation are back with yet another single and accompanying music video — this time highlighting the track “Cycle of Suffering.”
Described as a “brutal reminder of why Carnation are at the forefront of the old-school death metal revival,” the track is pretty straight-forward death metal. Directed by Panda Productions, the video features the band front and center, ripping through the song in question. The band is calling this new track the final single before the album’s release.
Unlike their previous single “Replicant,” this one has zero clean vocals, instead forcing vocalist Simon Duson to dig deep for those gutterals in this one. The band said “Cycle of Suffering” is one of their new favorites to perform live, hence the live setting the music video employs.
“‘Cycle of Suffering’ is a relentless track that expertly treads the line between commanding lead sections and thunderous rhythmic riffage. It’s an absolute blast to perform, which is why we gave it an energetic music video that focuses on our live performance. Undoubtedly, this track will end up in the set list of many of our future live shows.”
Cursed Mortality will be available on November 3, but you can preorder or presave your copy now. You can also see them live at any of the shows listed below.
