Rob Halford and Other Metal Celebs Donate to Kitten Charity
In extremely cute and wholesome news, Rob Halford, Slash, and other big names have donated rare items to the LA-based cat charity Kitten Rescue’s Fur Ball gala.
Slash has donated a signed Use Your Illusion I record, a major score for any fans of the classic, 1991 Guns n’ Roses album. He will be returning to LA soon to sign the record for the lucky winner.
Rob Halford of Judas Priest fame, who has a well-known internet presence as a wholesome cat dad and wearer of goofy cat shirts, is donating his Cat-mas shirt, inviting you to deck the halls with cats of metal. You’ll get the shirt he wore (hopefully not on stage) and signed, as well as some cat photos, a Rob Halford guitar pick, and his holiday CD, Celestial, which I just learned exited right now.
In addition to these great gets, the gala’s silent auction will also be getting Tommy Lee’s autographed drumsticks, a rare signed picture of Gavin Rossdale from Bush, a drumhead from famed composer Lewis Capaldi, and an autographed Elvira coffin table book and mug or a signed book and Funko Pop model.
If you needed even more reasons to support this, Kitten Rescue is a nonprofit and completely volunteer-run, devoted to rehousing homeless cats and keeping them out of kill shelters. The organization is famously supported by Geezer and Gloria Butler, Ozzy Osbourne, Blabbermouth.Net, and more.
So if you’re a person with the means to support something like this and bid-on these high-dollar items, this is a great cause, and you’ll be standing in solidarity with the greats—even the cat daddy himself.
