Spite’s Destructive New Single “Thank You, Again” Features Whitechapel’s Phil Bozeman

0

The latest single and accompanying visualizer for Spite‘s latest single “Thank You, Again” is fucking brutal. There’s not much more to say about it — well, other than the fact that they got Whitechapel vocalist Phil Bozeman to add another layer of punishment to the track.

Released on its own and without a new record really to speak of, “Thank You, Again” just hammers you in the cranium from second zero, providing an unrelenting attack to the senses. Following in the visualizer’s motif involving a wax-sealed letter, the band announced that they’d be sending a limited number of signed letters to 100 customers that buy their shit online.

As for the track itself, the band had the following to say:

“Bitterness takes a turn for the worse… Overwhelming positivity and fear of confrontation have been the death of authenticity in the world we’ve created. The desire to be recognized, and gratification stemmed from dishonesty, have deteriorated this once monumental, loyal art form.

“All individualism is lost and we are met with endless imitations of what we never asked for. Bludgeoned ideals that are shamelessly regurgitated. And so I ‘Thank You, Again…’ for resurrecting a hate that might have been forgotten… for feeding the truth… for reminding us that it is okay to not like you.”

Right. Anyways, if you’d like to catch Spite live, you can do so as soon as next month… as long as you’re in Europe. For our North American readers, your chance will come up this November when they go out with August Burns Red, Brand of Sacrifice, and Crystal Lake. Dates for both runs can be found below the video.
