Gaerea to Host a Free Screening Event at Kuma’s Corner in Chicago
Portuguese black metal outfit Gaerea are planning something “truly special” for fans out in the Windy City near the end of September and it’s not just all about the unique burger they have in their name.
On Thursday, September 28, the band will be on hand to host a free event at the original Kuma’s Corner in Chicago. While there’s no real info about exactly what they’ll be screening, the band says it will be something fans will immediately recognize as a unique experience.
“This is the death of ‘Mirage’ and the moment we start to let go of our world just so another one can be born. This unique event will showcase everything Gaerea has ever stood for. Get ready to witness something truly special, crafted specially to each and everyone of you who wishes to join us for an evening we shall never forget.”
Along with the screening, that will start promptly at 7:30 p.m., the band will be on site for a meet and greet with fans.
And seeing as this is going to take place at Kuma’s Corner, which gained notoriety for its “blasphemous” Ghost burger and the Slayer burger, Gaerea’s own special burger will also be unveiled during the event. Based on the insanely delectable Francesinha sandwich found in Portugal, the burger has “a bed of fresh house-cut fries, Texas toast, an angus beef patty, sausage, uncured ham, shredded monterrey jack cheese, and a fried egg, all smothered in a decadent Francesinha sauce.”
I don’t know about you, but that sounds and looks insanely delicious/deadly.
The following day, the band will kick off their tour with Wolves in the Throne Room, Blackbraid, and Hoaxed in St. Louis, Missoury. The full list of tour dates can be found below.
