Reunion Shows Are Inspiring a New Biohazard Album: “The Ideas Are Starting to Come Out off of These Shows”

Reunited hardcore/nü-metal outfit Biohazard are enjoying playing shows with their classic lineup, according to an interview with guitarist Billy Biohazard, who says that the gigs they’re playing are inspiring a new record from the band (via Blabbermouth).

“The inspiration’s coming from these shows. Being back together, celebrating and doing all these shows, it’s great. We’re having a good time, but now we’re getting the vibe from the crowd and we’re feeling it, and it’s getting in our bones. We’re getting that hunger and the ideas are starting to come out off of these shows.

“For me, it’s kind of cool because the other reason I did [my solo project] BillyBio is because there was no Biohazard, and the songs that I would’ve been showing these guys just [ended up] Billybio songs. So being back with these guys is, like… It’s cool to have another outlet for my music.”

Earlier this summer, bassist Evan Seinfeld posted his feelings about the success of the reunion and how far the members of Biohazard have come in life.

“At one point in my life I had closed the chapter on Biohazard thinking there was nothing left for me to do or accomplish and now I see so many possibilities because the energy when the four of us are together is boundless. Four kids from Brooklyn who went from the street corner to festival main stages Arenas and stadiums. Biohazard sold millions of albums and played thousands of concerts in 100 countries around the world. This was my life education to see the entire world as an ambassador of positivity with my music in our metal hard-core and even hip-hop styles. All of the incredible human connections I made and all of the emotions I’ve experienced have helped shape me into who I am today.”

Megadeth and Biohazard will tour together next month.
