Hexis Unleash Blackened Hardcore Fury with “Memento” Video

0

Danish black metal/hardcore unit Hexis have been active for a long time in the underground, releasing a slew of EPs, splits and three full-lengths since forming in 2010. Their most recent release is last year’s Aeternum, which came out via Debemur Morti Productions. If you’re a fan of Oathbreaker, Celeste, Amenra or another band that has a blackened take on sludgy hardcore, the album is worth seeking out with haste.

The hype train fro Aeternum keeps on rolling, though, as the band unveiled the video for “Memento,” the tenth track on the album. Featuring religious iconography juxtaposed with live performance video, Hexis have their image locked in. Alongside the premiere, the band had this to say about the video for “Memento.”

“Our third studio album, Aeternum, is turning 1 year old this month. To celebrate the release, we are giving you the music video for one of our personal favorite tracks from the record, “Memento.” The music video will also be released on VHS tape (limited to 100 copies) together with the rest of the videos from the album. Following the one-year anniversary then we will tour heavily all around the world for the rest of 2023, visiting Europe, Canada, Latin America and the US.”

Check out the video below. Aeternum is available via Bandcamp and all other streaming services.
