Rivers of Nihil’s Adam Biggs is Gonna Be a Daddy, So Fallujah’s Kyle Schaefer to Fill In for Remainder of Their Tour
When they’re not offering their heavy metal “hot takes,” apparently Rivers of Nihil have been quietly preparing for a new addition to their extended family, as vocalist/bassist Adam Biggs and his significant other are expecting a baby very, very soon. So soon, in fact, that he’s stepping down from the band’s tour with Between The Buried And Me and Thank You Scientist to be there when the child is born. Thankfully, the show will go on, as Fallujah vocalist Kyle Schaefer will step in to help the band finish out their commitments.
The announcement was made yesterday on the band’s official Instagram page. There’s no news as to who will fill in on bass for the band, but the show is still scheduled to go on without a problem, so who knows what’s going on there.
“Hey everyone, Biggs here. Checking in to let everyone know that I’ll be stepping off of the last 6 dates of the Parallax II tour so I can make it home in time to be with my family as we welcome a new baby into the world! Stepping up to the mic in my stead will be our good buddy Kyle Schaefer of Fallujah. So make sure to catch these special sets and show Kyle and the rest of the guys a good time. See you all again soon!”
While I couldn’t personally imagine ever bringing a child into this world, it’s incredibly cool that he and his loved one is going to get the chance to do that. It’s a huge commitment and a lot of work, but if that’s what they desire, then more power to ’em!
