Madi Watkins of Year of the Knife is Slowly Becoming Responsive

On Friday, Brandon Watkins, Madi’s husband, posted that she is starting to become responsive following the bad van accident Year of the Knife suffered last month.

Brandon’s update says:

Not much to update today things are pretty much the same. Madi will respond to our voices in little ways like moving her hand or blinking a little extra when we’re talking to her. It’s hard for me to be patient but I know it’s all baby steps. I just miss her dearly.— devilmane (@condemned2suffa) July 7, 2023

While everyone in the band was injured in the Utah accident nine days ago, vocalist Madi had the worst of the injuries and is only now starting to regain consciousness. Guitarist Brandon suffered a concussion; drummer Andy Kisielewski broke both his ankles, and his brother and the band’s other guitarist, Aaron Kisielewski, also suffered broken bones and a lacerated carotid artery.
