Spirit Adrift Taps American Gothic Horror with Their “Barn Burner” Music Video
Texan metal outfit Spirit Adrift are still gearing up for the release of their upcoming album Ghost At The Gallows and earlier today they released its third single, “Barn Burner.”
According to frontman Nate Garrett, the song is “a plea for unity, empathy, and love.” What that means for you as the listener is that the song is just as you’d probably expect from the band — it’s got riffs, it’s got an infectious groove, and the vocals all come together to create a rager of a single.
As for the accompanying music video, the band said it’s based on Michael Flanagan’s Midnight Mass, a creepy supernatural horror Netflix mini-series that features an ex-con returning to his hometown to get back on track and a new pastor who’s up to some shady ass shit.
Ghost At The Gallows will be released on August 18 via Cenury Media, though you can preorder your copy today.
Spirit Adrift are currently on the road in the U.K. and European Union before they join us later this fall for the Metal Injection Festival, so you have a few chances to catch them live this year.
