These Two New Code Orange Tracks Are Here to F*ck Up Your Morning
Like a sledgehammer to the temple, Pittsburgh’s own metalcore titans Code Orange have dropped a pair of jawbreakers in the form of their latest singles, “Grooming My Replacement” and “The Game.”
Still, both tracks are heavy, brutal affairs that frontman Jami Morgan described in the accompanying press release as “the bug infested subconscious of a band on the run from its past and future.” Leading up to the two songs’ release, the band had previously released a cryptic video on YouTube where they apparently hold someone hostage and whatnot before ultimately playing “Grooming My Replacement.” It was a creepy clip that of course had zero explanation, but that’s Code Orange for ya.
These two new tracks, of which you can peep the visualizers below, are the band’s follow up to What Is Really Underneath?, the band’s companion remix/soundtrack album to their 2020 LP Underneath.
With the two new tracks now out, we can only assume they’ll begin ramping up toward a new album announcement, but we’ve received no news on that front. Still, this is some exciting shit that now has us excited to see what comes next.
In the meantime, you can catch Code Orange at one of the following festival dates later this year:
