Video: Vince Neil Mangles “Shout At The Devil” in Newly-Uncovered Tour Footage
I know we shit on Mötley Crüe a helluva lot here on MetalSucks, but I’d like to think it’s with good reason. The dudes signed a contract saying they were done. Exit stage left. Ride off into the sunset as one of the most beloved bands of their time. But then they came back and now we’ve gotta deal with “they’re using backing tracks” and a lawsuit between Mick Mars and his former band mates, but the worst thing we have now is way past his prime Vince Neil obviously being unable to hang.
Case and point is this clip from earlier in the year that shows just how completely fucking washed Neil is. The once-passable singer can no longer enunciate and it sounds like he’s struggling to even get the words out. It’s almost too embarrassing, too cringe-worthy to watch, to be honest.
According to the video, this was posted back in January. The band, however, weren’t on tour at the time, so considering former guitarist Mick Mars can also be seen in the clip, that means it was shot during last year’s stadium run. As you’ll remember, that’s the tour that Mars alleged in his lawsuit that Tommy Lee and Nikki Sixx regularly used backing tracks. It’s hard not to keep a close eye on Sixx during this clip to see if his hand movements match the audio, but I can’t tell.
If, for some reason, you’re not mortified by the video below and want to see the shitshow for yourself, you can do so by catching Mötley Crüe on any of the tour dates listed below. Just don’t say we didn’t warn you.
