Epica to Support Metallica and Replace Five Finger Death Punch for Two Upcoming Shows
It’s got to be any metal band’s dream to stand on the same stage as Metallica and play to their insanely massive audience at least once. For symphonic metal band Epica, they’ll get two bites at that apple, as they’ve been tapped to fill in for Five Finger Death Punch on the upcoming Paris and Hamburg shows.
While there’s no explanation as to why FFDP had to bow out for the two dates, Epica vocalist Simone Simons said she and her bandmates are ready to meet the opportunity head down.
The band is coming off their most recent tour, the Epic Apocalyse Tour, which went through Europe and sold out a number of those shows. With so much time on the road already, they should be hot and ready to tackle such a huge chance to play on such a huge tour.
“We are beyond excited to share the stage with the legendary Metallica, that has had a great influence on the whole music scene, including Epica.”
