Blackbraid to Return This Summer with Blackbraid II
Last Summer, black metal found a new voice within its community that cut through the noise and made known the pain, suffering, vengeance, and strength of the Native American when Sgah’gahsowáh released his solo project, Blackbraid. Fans and critics alike raved about this new angle within the genre and praised Sgah’gahsowáh’s deft use of it to share the tale of Native American struggle.
Coming this July, another block of Blackbraid’s brand of black metal will make its way to the masses with the release of Blackbraid II. Featuring 10 songs with titles like “The Spirit Returns,” “A Song of Death on Winds of Dawn,” and “Moss Covered Bones on the Altar of the Moon,” this one sounds like it’s ready to rip some faces off.
Blackbraid II is slated for release on July 27, though you can sign up for email notifications of when you can preorder or presave the album through the Blackbraid Official Merch Store.
In addition to the new album announcement, you can catch Blackbraid live next month as part of the Decibel Magazine Tour, also featuring Dark Funeral, Cattle Decapitation, and 200 Stab Wounds. That tour will kick off on May 11 in Santa Ana, California and come to an end on June 10 in Los Angeles. You can find the full list of dates and get tickets down below.
