Empire State Bastard Dropped a Video for Their Single “Harvest”
The potent combination of Simon Neil and Mike Vennart of Biffy Clyro, Naomi Macleod of Bitch Falcon, and of course Dave Lombardo (ex-Testament/Slayer, Mr Bungle) recently tore shit up for a short stint out in the U.K. as Empire State Bastard. And thanks to that quick punch in the jaw they delivered to the British Isles, we’ve now got the band’s first music actual video featuring some of that live footage.
All of this has just been the natural progression of things, albeit at a blisteringly fast pace, as they’ve managed to sign with Roadrunner Records, nabbed Lombardo just in time before things got too hectic for him, and put out “their first single “Harvest” as their first single.
Empire State Bastard list Siege, Melvins, Mike Patton, Slayer and Sleep as influences, most of which you can hear. Patton’s influence is most obvious in the vocals, which really up the “unhinged” factor in their live performance.
As it stands, the band currently has no plans to tour the U.S. any time soon, as they’ve already committed to a handful of European festival dates: Hellfest 2023 in Cholet, France this June, 2000Trees 2023 in Cheltenham, U.K. this July, and Arctangent 2023 in Compton Martin, U.K.
There’s no news at this time about when they’ll be putting out a record, but it only makes sense that we’ll get more singles as time goes on.
