Crazy Town Members Get in Physical Altercation Over Missed Performance
Things aren’t so swell in the Crazy Town camp right now, based on a few videos that surfaced from and following a recent performance in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Crazy Town performed at Boathouse Waterway Bar & Grill on April 23, but vocalist Shifty Shellshock didn’t show up until the end of the set, which left other vocalist Bobby Reeves stuck performing both parts.
In videos from the set, Reeves could be heard and seen venting about how frustrated he is with his bandmate, which is an understandable—if not the most professional—reaction to being forced to change your performance on short notice. Following the show, Reeves and Shellshock got into a physical altercation in the backstage area, which is followed by an argument over the band’s guarantee. Shellshock asks multiple times for his portion of the band’s payment for the performance, which he claims he was “robbed” of by Reeves. The video, which has been made private, also includes threats toward each other’s families and racial slurs, according to The PRP. Shellshock tells Reeves that he loves him but needs his money, which Reeves denies being paid.
This incident follows a Crazy Town show on April 22 where Shellshock kicked a monitor off the stage, though he did aggressively put it back after being asked. Neither Reeves nor Shellshock have addressed the issues at this time.
Shellshock has struggled pretty publicly with addiction for a long time, appearing on multiple seasons of both Celebrity Rehab and Sober House. (hed)p.e. and Crazy Town are on tour together right now, assuming Crazy Town remain on the tour.
