Rammstein to Release Sehnsucht Anniversary Edition this June, So Get Your Fire Extinguishers Ready
The seemingly flame retardant consummate showmen of Rammstein are commemorating the 1997 release of Sehnsucht with a fully remastered anniversary edition of the iconic industrial metal album on June 9. As the LP that pretty much put the band on the map with hits like “Engel” and “Du Hast” — at least on an international stage — this is sure to be a release that many people will want to get their hands on.
The album’s original 11 tracks will be completely remixed in HD sound, which will be a first time for its CD version. In addition to the original 11 songs, the band is also adding a 2023 version of “Spiel Mit Mir” (“Play With Me”).
Sehnsucht was the band’s first release to hit the top of the German and Austrian charts and ultimately landed in the top 50 in the U.S. In fact, it remains the only fully-German album to reach platinum status here in the States.
When it’s released on June 9, Sehnsucht Anniversary Edition will be available with a wide range of formats, including CD, MC, Digital, plus a pair of double LPs, one black vinyl, the other white.
Sehnsucht Anniversary Edition will be released on June 9, though you can pre-save and pre-order your copy today.
