The Misfits Announce Shows with Megadeth, AFI, and Fear
Having been away from the stage for a few months now, The Original Misfits are planning to head back out on the road this summer for three—yes, only three—headlining North American shows.
For three Saturdays this summer, the band featuring original members Glenn Danzig and Jerry Only will take the stage bolstered by guitarist Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein, Dave Lombardo on drums and Acey Slade on guitars and vocals.
In the past, Danzig has gone on record saying he doesn’t intend on touring extensively ever again, instead opting to play occasional shows every once in a while. As such, it seems the band is following that mantra, with the first show scheduled on June 24 in Tampa and the third show scheduled for July 15 in Phoenix, Arizona. Sandwiched in between those two shows will be a homecoming stop at the Prudential Center in Newark.
Joining the iconic punk band will be Fear, along with special guests at each show, including Megadeth, The Gaslight Anthem, and AFI. Each special guest will be on hand at different dates, so be sure to check the three dates below to see who will be opening for The Misfits.
Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday at 10 a.m. local time, though presales are expected to start tomorrow, March 22.
So be sure to get your hands on some tickets if you want to see The Misfits. Who knows how long they’ll be kicking around on tour.
