Anders Fridén Recalls In Flames’ Worst Gig Ever

For over 30 years, In Flames has been kicking ass all over the world, playing countless gigs before the metal masses. And while their shows today are the kind of professional grade, high end performances you’d expect from a band of their caliber, that wasn’t necessarily always the case.

With Foregone out now and the band set to head out on some tour dates next month for a series of festivals including KNOTFEST Australia, KNOTFEST Japan, and Hellfest, we sat down with frontman Anders Fridén to take us on a trip down memory lane and tell us all about some of the worst live experiences that he and the band has faced over the years.

Sometimes it’s cool to be reminded that the rock stars we’ve grown up idolizing are human beings too. So we want to thank Anders for taking the time to chat with us and share his experiences. Naturally every one of their shows moving forward will be the pinnacle of perfection and never have any hiccups ever. But if something does happen, we’re sure we’ll be able to catch Anders again to look back and laugh at it.
